Waldyr Hero Pairings

  • Liliya
    Waldyr
    32 Skills | 16 Magic
    Velyn

    Skill DMG, Area-of-Effect

Velyn is a natural choice as a deputy for Waldyr and effective mage pairing. By investing into talents that generate rage, you’ll have sufficient amount of rage to consistently cast Velyn’s rage skill, “Frozen Star.” With both heroes having skills that increase hero skill damage, Velyn will inflict over 3,600 damage factor per cast and also apply the “Freeze” debuff to enemies. If you have awakened Velyn, the synergy between the two heroes becomes even more apparent. Velyn’s “Snowblind” skill deals additional magic damage to the target affected by the “Frozen” status, a debuff that both Waldyr and Velyn can inflict (Waldyr requires awakening for his skill to gain the freeze effect). Players should consider investing in the Skills talent tree and acquiring the “Focus” talent to boost their skill critical chance.

  • Liliya
    Alwyn
    Control
    Waldyr

    Skill DMG, Area-of-Effect, Support

Alwyn and Waldyr form an excellent combination for free-to-play and low spenders as a primary legion, and for all players as a supportive 5th legion of mages. While this pairing may not have the same AOE damage as Velyn or Lilia options, it offers potent snares that can significantly slow down enemies, making it easier for nearby legions to attack them without much chance of escaping.

  • Liliya
    Waldyr
    16 Magic | 16 PvP | 16 Skills
    Atheus

    Skill DMG

Atheus contributes to the overall effectiveness of the support build by enhancing rage generation to keep enemies debuffed (reduced attack and march speed). This allows for a continuous stream of hero skills to be unleashed. Additionally, Atheus brings valuable defensive benefits to the table, such as increased HP, healing capabilities, and damage reduction. These defensive stats play a crucial role in mitigating the counterattack damage that is bound to occur during the process of rage generation. By minimizing the impact of counterattacks, Waldyr can maintain sustained damage output and maximize the effectiveness of the hero skill-centric approach.

Waldyr Talent Builds

  • PvP | PvE | High AOE Skill damage

This skill damage talent build focuses on maximizing area-of-effect damage by combining Waldyr as the commander and Velyn as the deputy. The primary objective is to increase hero skill damage to its fullest potential. The strategy involves targeting the weakest enemy legion within a group of enemies, minimizing counterattack damage, and building rage. By continuously unleashing hero skills on the clustered enemy legions, you can deal significant damage, particularly to stronger adversaries.

  • PvP | Control | Support

This talent build centers on Alwyn as commander and Waldyr as deputy. Its main goal is to provide support to your other legions by acquiring sufficient march speed to pursue fleeing enemies while applying slowing status effects to prevent enemies from escaping during combat. Additionally, it grants you the ability to purge significant enemy buffs. This build is highly recommended to all players as a secondary mage legion.

  • PvP | High Stats + Powerful Status Effects

This build is recommended for players who don’t have access to Velyn or are using Velyn in another legion (such as Liliya + Velyn) and intend to use Alwyn or Atheus. It is designed for player versus player combat and dragon trails. The main goal of this talent build is to maximize stat bonuses and acquire potent status effects (Defense Break and Defense Penetration) to enhance damage output.
