Giant guide
Raid composition & Tank Positioning: Begin the fight by having your tank engage the Giant in the center of the arena. It may be beneficial to have a secondary or tertiary tank ready to take over if the main tank loses aggro. The rest of the raid should consist of ranged units who can safely attack the Giant from a distance with normal attacks until the second phase.
Avoiding Cone Attacks: Periodically, the Giant will initiate a longer-range cone attack that charges up and hits in a 360-degree rotation. Ranged units should maximize their distance to avoid getting hit by this attack.
Breaking Shields: Every 25% of the Giant’s health, it will target a player, run towards them, and consume them. Upon doing so, the Giant gains a shield that must be broken by the raid. It is highly recommended to use Artifact skills at this point to assist in damaging the shield. Failing to break the shield will result in the consumed player perishing and being sent back to their city. Breaking the shield is crucial, as it allows the player to be spit out and rejoin the battle.
Dealing with Hammer Trolls: At a certain point, the Giant will run to the middle of the arena, become immune to damage, and summon “Hammer Trolls.” During this phase, players should stop damaging the Giant and focus their attacks on the trolls instead. Each defeated troll will drop a healing stone that players can channel to receive healing. Once all the trolls are eliminated, the Giant will become vulnerable again, and players can resume attacking it.
Tri-Linear Radial Attack: Periodically, the Giant will perform a tri-linear radial attack where each linear attack is spaced out at 120-degree intervals. Players must move out of the Giant’s ranged area or position themselves between the spaces to avoid taking damage.
Repeat Phases and Attacks: Continue cycling through the above phases and attacks until you defeat the Giant boss.
Tips
- The Giant is immune to all debuff effects so it is best to take heroes that increase damage to legion skill damage, legion damage or units damage, over heroes that normally would reduce an enemies health/attack/damage.
- Additional tanks should position themselves behind the Giant to avoid its frontal cone attack.
- It is recommended to avoid using melee DPS in this fight as the Giant performs short-range area-of-effect attacks like cleave, whirlwind, and slams.
- In case the ranged units draw the Giant’s attention, a tank equipped with the Harlequin Mask artifact should taunt the Giant to regain its focus.
Elite Version
- Increases health, attack, and defense by 150%
- Enemy magic units take 100% more damage
- When your legion has less than 30% health remaining, they stun targets for 1 second when they deal deamage.
- The rock shield gained from Devour is 200% stronger.
