Here is a list of Land of Empires heroes from most valuable to least valuable separated by battles against troops and solo battles. These are my own hero tier list opinions and are subject to change due to more testing, patches, and new game mechanics and additions.

Rally, Siege, Defending: Against longer battles you want to have your hero do the most amount of DPS while still maintaining the highest troop stats (for your units in the rally – not in general).

Invaders: Against shorter battles you want heroes that provide the highest burst damage potential. DOTS don’t really shine here as enemies will die before full damage will tick.

Caesar, Heracles, Valkyrie, Cleopatra VII, Mozi, Scorpion II

Explanation: These heroes have the highest mix of DPS and troop buffs.

Ninhursag, El Cid, Spartacus, Mochizuki Chiyo, Nefertari

Explanation: These heroes have an average mix of DPS and troop buffs.

Caesar, Heracles, Valkyrie, Cleopatra VII, Mozi, Scorpion II

Explanation: These heroes have a poor mix of DPS and troop buffs.
