Call of Dragons Theia Guide
Talents: CoD Heroes Overall PvP Support
Theia stands out as a rare flying hero within Call of Dragons, making her a valuable asset for creating legions comprised solely of flying units. Her unique qualities include offering one of the most substantial boosts to legion unit attack in the game, combined with impressive defensive capabilities and an elevated march speed bonus. While her "Overall" talent permits her to serve as either a deputy or commander in any legion type, she truly shines when leading legions exclusively made up of flying units. This specialization ensures you benefit fully from her remarkable 10% attack increase and a notable 20% march speed bonus.
Theia Hero Skills
Theia skill upgrade order
- 1Begin by maxing out Theia's rage skill, "Arbiter's Ward."
- 2Afterward, proceed to upgrade Theia to level 4. This is because all her other three skills provide valuable combat enhancements with similar incremental improvements.
Theia Hero Pairings
Theia Talent Builds
Theia+Atheus | L.o.O Celestials, PvP, Ranged Fighter
When employing Theia and Atheus as a pairing, durability is not the primary concern; instead, the focus is on enhancing damage output. This rationale leads us to allocate talent points towards bolstering normal attack and overall damage, with a special emphasis on acquiring the Defense Break status effect.
Note: We recommend using Atheus as the Commander as we prefer his talent selection. The Atheus and Theia pairing guide can be viewed on Atheus’s hero guide.
Damage, Normal Attack, March Speed, RageTheia+Kregg | Springwarden Eagles, PvP, PvE, Fighter
This talent build bolsters melee engagement by granting a substantial 6.5% damage increase and reducing damage taken by 6%. Additionally, a 10% reduction in severely wounded units aids melee units significantly, considering the challenge of escaping from close combat. Notably, this talent build also offers a remarkable 9% boost in normal attack damage (which is going to be your primary source of damage). While it’s possible to forego the 4% normal attack damage and rage generation talents in favor of an 8% skill damage increase for Kregg, the former option typically proves more beneficial for enhancing the legion’s melee prowess.

Artifacts for Theia
- Visage of the Sanctus: This well-balanced artifact offers both defensive and offensive bonuses, with a preference for legion attack as the primary offensive stat. What sets it apart is its synergy with Theia’s rage skill. Each time you cast her rage skill, you trigger the skill damage factor, which can accumulate to a substantial 500 damage per stack. When paired with a Commander proficient in generating rapid rage skill usage and equipped with Magic talents, especially the “Orb of Protection” talent (which grants a 25% chance to gain a shield upon casting a rage skill), this combination becomes a formidable source of sustained damage.
- High March Speed Artifacts: If your strategy involves targeting weaker opponents or disrupting enemy economies by engaging gatherers, artifacts like the Springbird Feather and Homecoming Blossom, which grant high march speed, are ideal. These artifacts enable you to swiftly engage and retreat from your targets.
- Attack and Unit Attack Boosting Artifacts: For those who prefer open-field duels and seek out opponents to engage head-on, choose mage legions artifacts like Infernal Flame and Magic Bomb, which increase your legion’s attack and unit attack, are recommended. If you are a marksman or cavalry legion choose Shadowblades or Hearpiercer. These artifacts enhance your damage output, making you a formidable force on the battlefield.
Tips
- Synergy Buff Usage: Theia’s Synergy buff, which increases skill damage, ends when a rage skill is cast. This means you have flexibility in choosing her role, allowing you to grant the skill damage bonus to the paired hero regardless if she is the Commander or Deputy.
- Adaptability: Theia is a versatile hero, and her effectiveness in battle hinges on her hero pairing, talent choices, and equipped artifacts. It’s crucial to understand how these elements impact her combat prowess and playstyle. For example, if you opt for a pairing with high march speed, focus on targeting weaker opponents rather than engaging in direct confrontations with stronger legions. Conversely, if you venture deep into enemy territory or aim to disrupt gatherers, ensure you have the necessary march speed to evade pursuers. Without it, you may find yourself overwhelmed and defeated.
- Skill Allocation: It is important to note that her second and fourth skill increase legion attack while her second skill increases unit attack.
