Call of Dragons Madeline Guide
Talents: CoD Heroes Infantry PvP Tank
Madeline is an Infantry commander with a focus on dealing damage, as her skill set primarily boosts damage dealt. She stands out as one of the best choices for high spenders seeking a damage-oriented Infantry commander in Call of Dragons. However, it's worth noting that her 5/1/1/1 configuration is considered moderate in power. If you are a free-to-play or lower spender and upgrading her skills to a high level is not feasible, you may want to explore alternative commander options.

Madeline Talent Builds
Madelina+Nika | PvP | High Mobility & Counter Attack Damage
This build centers on enhancing march speed, enabling successful engagements and disengagements, while also improving counter attack damage—two key features of this pairing.
Counter ATK DMG > Normal ATK Taken Reduction > March SpeedLeverage your mobility to approach as many players as possible, preferably targeting the enemy backline, and unleash devastating counter attack damage on your opponents. When your health starts to decrease, seek an exit and utilize your 30% increased march speed to retreat strategically.
Madelina+Garwood | PvP | PvE | Balanced Offense & Defense
This build will enable you to be an effective front line tank. It provides massive defensive stats and skill damage taken reductions. Rage generation is more critical in this pairing since maintaining each heroes rage skill buff is vital for optimal performance.
DEF > Reduced Skill DMG Taken > Reduced N.ATK DMG TakenThis build is designed to transform you into a formidable front-line Tank. Your primary role is to initiate the engagement with the enemy and form a solid line of defense, allowing your back line to deal their damage effectively. The “Vitality” talent is essential to enhance the likelihood of triggering Garwood’s “Thistles and Thorns” skill, maintaining the Physical Damage dealt bonus.
Artifacts for Madeline
- If you are using a hero pairing and talent build that maximizes damage dealt, choose Dragonrift or Butcher’s Blade
- If you would rather be a front line tank, choose Dragonscale Armor or Harlequin Mask
Tips
- Her 5/1/1/1 skill configuration is weaker than other heroes. If you don’t foresee yourself able to invest heavily into increasing her skill levels, consider choosing another hero to focus on.
- Madeline’s awakened rage skill Resilience bonus cannot be stacked or merged with Garwood’s rage skill Resilience bonus. To address this concern, it’s advisable to use Madeline as the commander, allowing her to activate her rage skill first. This way, you can benefit from the initial 10% Resilience bonus for 2 seconds before it gets replaced by Garwood’s Resilience bonus.
- The healing factor of rage skills is influenced by legion capacity. Therefore, it’s recommended to place Garwood as the commander. This ensures that he heals your slightly wounded units first. Consequently, when Madeline uses her rage skill to provide a shield to your legions, the shield value will be marginally higher. Please note that the difference is quite small, but for those interested in optimizing their strategy, this is worth considering.
