Call of Dragons Kregg Guide
Talents: CoD Heroes Engineering Marksman Mobility
Kregg is a formidable hero with exceptional AOE damage potential, reaching up to 3,200. He's an excellent option for early to mid game players looking to succeed in PvP and Dragon Tales. In PvP, Kregg can be a difficult target to catch if players invest in his Mobility skill and leverage his Wyvern Rider ability for a march speed boost. Additionally, Kregg's unique bonus to flying units makes him an ideal commander for a legion consisting solely of airborne units. However, despite having access to the Engineering skill and talent tree, we advise against building Kregg for engineering purposes.

Hero Skill Damage with Mobility
Kregg is a hero with a powerful rage skill that, when awakened, can potentially deal 3,200 damage (before buffs) per cast to 3 legions. His skill, Wyvern Rider, further enhances his hero skill damage by 10%, amplifying the impact of his rage skill. To fully utilize these strengths, we will focus on talent point investments that increase Kregg’s hero skill damage and rage generation. Additionally, Kregg lacks defensive skills unless he is part of a full flying legion. However, he possesses abilities that enhance his March Speed bonus. Therefore, we will also prioritize boosting his march speed. This play style involves seeking out clusters of enemy legions, building up enough rage to unleash the hero skill, and retreating if necessary. If conditions are favorable, such as enemies remaining grouped, we can continue attacking to generate additional rage and cast the hero skill again. This talent build synergizes best with heroes that enhance hero skill damage or possess their own hero skill damage abilities.Heavy Normal Attack Damage
This build trades mobility, attack range, rage generation and skill damage for substantially more Normal Attack Damage. Consider utilizing this build for smaller-scale battles, Behemoth raids, and Dragon Trails to maximize your effectiveness. Keep in mind that strategic positioning and precise target selection and timing become crucial in PvP scenarios due to your reduced mobility and range.
Artifacts for Kregg
When selecting artifacts for Kregg, prioritize those that enhance area-of-effect damage, increase marksman unit attack, and/or boost legion attack. Since the build doesn’t emphasize high single-target normal damage or counter attack damage, it is acceptable to opt for artifacts that provide increased marksman health or defense if suitable options are unavailable.
Tips
- To optimize Kregg’s performance, it is advisable to prioritize leveling his first talent to level 5 and then upgrade him to 3 stars. Next, focus on maximizing the next two skills before considering the acquisition of the fourth skill or awakening, as the fourth skill solely enhances engineering. This approach allows you to maximize Kregg’s battle damage potential while patiently accumulating enough tokens to awaken him.
- Kregg is best used in a full march of flying marksman units to gain access to his max level Aerial Formation (10% Defense skill). Which means having your faction currently set to Wilderburg to gain access to the Wyvern Riders special flying unit (Wyvern Riders are Marksman).
- After unlocking Awakening, a lot of Kregg’s damage is going to come from his rage skill “Fragmentation Bolt”. It is recommended to pair him with other heroes that grant increases to skill damage and rage accumulation.
- If Kregg’s legion is solely comprised of flying units, be sure to study the surrounding terrain and position accordingly to abuse being able to hit melee enemies without them being able to target you back.
