Conquer the Battlefield in Call of Dragons: Essential War Tips for Low Power Players
If you find yourself low on power in Call of Dragons and don’t want to spend excessive amounts of money to catch up, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered with these top strategies and tactics to make an impact during war, even when facing stronger opponents who have spent more.
Prioritize using Mage Heroes:
Focus on using heroes like Liliya, Velyn, and Waldyr who possess rage skills that deal area-of-effect damage. Exploit this advantage by intentionally targeting the weakest enemy on the front line, knowing that the skill will also hit the surrounding enemies. The key benefit is that you won’t face counter attack damage, which is triggered by normal attacks. This allows you to strike the more powerful enemies that would otherwise overpower you. Consider investing talent points in rage generation and skill damage to further enhance this strategy. If you play as the League of Order faction, you can also leverage Celestials, flying mage units, to have an additional mage legion.
Equip the Right Artifacts:
Utilize artifacts in Call of Dragons that unleash area-of-effect damage. Build rage on weaker targets and unleash the artifact’s power on the stronger enemies you wouldn’t typically engage. Artifacts like Ever-Ice, Magic Bomb, and Phoenix Eye are excellent options for mage legions. For archer legions, consider Shadow Blades and Viola’s Bow.
Alternatively, choose artifacts that provide supportive benefits to your allied legions. Opt for artifacts that offer healing properties such as Tear of Arbadon or Staff of Spring. Consider artifacts that inflict powerful afflictions like Defense Break using Breath of Jargentis. Additionally, mobility-enhancing artifacts like Springbird Feather, which increases march speed for surrounding friendly legions, or Staff of the Prophet that teleports a friendly legion to another location, can be valuable choices.
Be a Distraction:
If you cannot engage directly in the main battle, find ways to be effective elsewhere. One effective strategy is to utilize cavalry or flying units to attack the enemy gatherers at their home base. This disruptive tactic can hinder their ability to effectively fight and gather resources during a war. By diverting their attention, inevitably some players will stop fighting and defend their gatherers. If players chase you, you will be trading one player with a single legion for multiple players and this is an effective way to provide value to your alliance.
Pick Off Retreating Enemies and Stragglers:
Employ heroes with skills and talents that increase march speed, such as Atheus and Emrys, and target enemies who have taken significant damage and are retreating. Intercept them before they reach their city and finish them off. This tactic forces their troops to enter the hospital, depleting their healing elixirs if they wish to heal their injured troops and use them in future battles.
Help Build and Destroy infrastructure
Take on a vital role in your alliance by focusing on constructing alliance towers and roads as well as actively participate in dismantling and destroying enemy infrastructure. This allows your stronger members to concentrate on direct combat in a war. By doing this you free up valuable manpower that can be dedicated to fighting against the enemy.
By employing these strategies, low power players can actively contribute to war scenarios, making a meaningful impact despite facing stronger opponents.
